Featured Products Showcase

Ok I have site set for Showcase with prices and products-general set to No add to shop cart. Having add to shopping cart set as no, prevents me from having featured products.

Work around?

When I set my stock test site to Showcase with prices and set Add-to-Cart in Product - General to N, I still have Featured Products, so it may have something to do with your template.

A better question might be: if your store is in Showcase mode, which means that your customers can't add anything to the cart anyway, why mess with the Product - General settings?

these are my settings:

my store/ status/ = 2
config/product listing display product price/add to cart = 3
General = No

And when I got to add feature the drop down window is empty both in IE and Firefox.

My question stands, I guess:

If it's the switching the Product - General - Add to Cart setting to No that's removing the Featured Products, why not leave it as Yes ? Your visitors can't add anything to the cart in Showcase mode, anyway.

This misconception that I am somehow in the business of selling my products could get me into trouble. However, simply having a showcase with no purchase ability or add to cart icon would remove any shawdow of a doubt.
