calculating (and requiring) shipping insurance?

Hi -

My shop will be selling irreplaceable, fairly expensive goods. Insurance is a must. I intend to ship through UPS and USPS. Neither of those modules seem to include insurance charges.

So, how do most of you handle this? Specifically:

  1. how do you determine the price of insurance? Does UPS or USPS post rates for this? (They do both offer insurance, don't they?)

  2. How do you add this to the order total, and make it a requirement?

Thanks.

I have not used it, but look here...

An alternative is to use ATTRIBUTES where the insurance attribute is selected by default and priced according to the product value.
