How to not calculate shipping charge on international orders only?

Is there a way to configure my store to only calculate the shipping cost for US based shipments?

For international shipments I would like the buyer to see "we will contact you with your international shipping quote" in the shipping cost field when he checks out.

Any help with this is greatly appreciated!

I think as far as shipments cost is concern only refer to the US bases shipments , just for taking an idea you can consult amazon rates. But it depends what thing you are required to ship or receive.

I spent the last 2 hours looking for something similar to contact for shipping price but did not find anything.

Problem is that there is no option for the customer to confirm order and then you add shipping on top of it and then they pay.

Bad option:

Enable calculator for US as normal

Enable Zone Rates or something for International orders with 99.00 minimum fee.
Change the Zone Rates title and description to 'Please contact for shipping price'.

If you get a international order; calculate the postage cost, send them a discount coupon to make the 99.00 shipping equal the amount you want to charge them; with instructions to proceed with the 99.00 shipping and use your coupon to reduce the shipping cost to $x.
Admin > Gift Certificate/Coupons > Discount Coupons

Its better to know about how much the postage is and use the weight based system.
