Document sidebox does not show categories

I have set up a category that restricts products of type Document-Product and added a product. When I go to the web site, under 'Document' sidebox, all I see is '->(1)'. When I click on it, I am presented with a blank page, with the name of the category I added on top. What am I doing wrong?
