zen_order does not exist error in database no orders show in admin

Using Zen version Zen Cart 1.3.8a with php version 5.2.8

I was trying to import data from an old database for customers orders. changes all file names from 'orders' to 'zen_orders' and used sql to insert into and come back with an error code table 'zen_orders' does not exist. I can see it in my phpAdmin.

I tried a couple of test orders. The shopping cart processes the orders, sends all the appropriate emails but the order history page in both the admin area and the customer account are blank.

The orders are showing up the Paypal IPN for that option.

Also both the shopping cart and the admin are taking forever to load. The main site is running fine.

Can someone please tell me how to fix the database so it realizes it has those tables?

Unless you know the ins & outs of mysql - This is not the way to get outside tables into a NEW DB
You should be importing the full previous DB and upgrading it via zc_install

Thanks. I restored the clean database and it's working now. I'm just going to not worry about the old orders. They're all closed anyway.
