One description, multiple items to purchase?

(I hope this is in the right spot!)

I would like to have one description with multiple options available to be added to the shopping cart. Here's a quick example:

ACME Widget Screw Driver.

Quantity (1) - $5.00 --> Add to cart button
Quantity (3) - $6.00 --> Add to cart button
Quantity (5) - $7.00 --> Add to cart button
Quantity (9) - $9.00 --> Add to cart button

I'm currently using pricing by attributes which shows a base price for the item and a +$x.xx for larger quantities. This is confusing some of my visitors, as they don't understand the base price plus the additional charge.

I'm assuming each of the quantities shown above would be a unique item, maybe I'm not clear how Zen Cart handles this?

Have you looked at the Quantity Discounts?

Example: Buttonbush (Cephalanthus occidentalis) 12"

You have prices for:
1 $3
5 $8
25 $22
100 $80

You could setup the Quantity Discounts to look like:
Qty Discounts New Price

1-4 5-24 25-99 100+
$3.00 $1.60 $0.88 $0.80
