Create Account not working properly

Hope someone can help. I'm using Zen Cart 1.3.8 and have also purchased a template. I'm seeing how it all works but when I create a customer account it goes no further and I get

The webpage at http://www.mydomain.com.au/index.php?main_page=create_account might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address. in IE and
Error 324 (net::ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE): Unknown error in Chrome.

I've reuploaded the create account file into languages/english but still nothing. However the actual account that I create goes into the admin database. I know it's probably something silly but I just keep missing it. If anyone can help I'd be very grateful

Just did (or attempted to do) that and got a blank page, no error messages. To remedy this you may want to look at these

As an aside, I would remove these fields from create account:

Company Name:
Fax Number:
Date of Birth:

They can deter customers. You can turn them off in Admin > Configuration > Customer Details

You will be pleased to hear that the account was actually created, just received your confirmation email. So, technically, the account is created. My guess is that you may have some blank lines at the end of one of your files. The tutorial will tell you how to run the diagnostics.

Just had another look at your problem (even though it's late...)

Considering my test account was created and the next page after creating an account would be the success message, you may want to have a look at this file

/includes/languages/english/create_account_success.php

or

/includes/languages/english/YOUR_TEMPLATE/create_account_success.php

and check if there are any blank lines after the closing ?> tag (in the default file it should be line 29).

If so, delete any blank lines after this tag and then upload the edited file again.
