Can I have mySQL on different server?

Hi
I have a working installation of Zen Cart and I want to move the database to another server while keeping the website on the original server. Can this be done?

Yes, as long as its all configured correctly and no firewalls are in the way to prevent a connection.

ps. This isn't something I'd recommend doing because of the close dependency on the database, it will have a performance loss..(How much depends on the speed of the networks, etc, etc).
