Need help with categories menu ...

Hello everyone,

i really need help with the categories menu, it is to the left of my site vertically, how do i space them out?? Each item title is stuck close together, lastly, how do i add some categories to the top menu bar of the site??? Nothing seems to work, thanks for any help with this...

First, let's see what you have now. Then we can advise on the best way to adjust your categories box. The most basic would be to find or add in your stylesheet

a.category-top {

and give it a

line-height: 1.8em;

Adjust to taste.

For the top, do you want the categories-tabs bar? (Admin > Configuration > Layout Settings > Categories-Tabs)
Or do you want just a few categories in the very top navigation bar?

Thanks so very much for the reply, i currently have the categoris side box on the left side, which is totally fine, but, i wanted to add some categories or links to the top menu bar, where it currently also has ("home" and "log in", i'm not sure how to add categories or links to that top menu bar ....
