Is it possible to integrate with Payment Alliance?

Hello, please forgive this noob, but I'm at a loss. I've looked all over the web, searched the Zen site, and I can't find anything to point me in the right direction.

I have a client (a little old grandmother, not technologically savvy) who wants to build a shopping cart. She has a gateway with a company called Payment Alliance.

The client sent me a "Global East Generic VAR Setup" sheet with a bunch of information from Payment Alliance that's supposed to be used to setup their shopping cart.

I called Payment Alliance, talked to one of their techs, and got absolutely no information of any use beyond "that's to help you integrate your software with our gateway" (which I had already ascertained). I asked if Zen Cart could integrate, and he said "You'll have to ask your developer."

Since I can't find any information on the Zen Cart site, on the Payment Alliance site, or anywhere else with Google, I was hoping someone here could point me in the right direction. Is there a particular payment module I need to use, or does anyone have any experience integrating with Payment Alliance?

You can integrate Zen Cart with pretty much any payment gateway. All payment gateways are unique, in as much as the data you send them, and the data they send you in response. In order to bridge this gap, you need to therefore create a payment module, which would then plug-in to your Zen Cart. The datasheet PA sent you will have this payment bridge information in it. A developer will then use this data to build you a custom module, which will then only work with Zen Cart and Payment Alliance.

Some payment modules are fairly simple, and take a matter of hours to set up, others like the great PayPal are a little more taxing, and take a lifetime to understand and tweak to perfection, as the Zen Team well know!

Depending on your PHP and security knowledge, this may be something you can code yourself, in which case the WIKI on this site is probably the right place to start. If you don't feel your PHP knowledge is quite up to this level, then you might want to consider asking in the CHW forum, and seeing if anyone is available to code this for you.
