Exporting email addresses - Newsletter Subscribe mod

I have the Newsletter Subscribe mod installed. In this case, I've found that the proper table to export email addresses is: subscribers, and so I've found that to generate a list of email addresses from the phpmyamin database, I need just run this SQL query:

SELECT email_address FROM subscribers

Or if that throws an error indicating that there is no such table, try adding the prefix:

SELECT email_address FROM zen_subscribers

When the list of emails appears, scroll to the bottom of that page and click the Export button. The next page will allow you to select which format to export the addresses in. I generally select CSV and then leave the "Fields Enclosed By" option blank. This will generate a simple alphabetical list of email addresses.

I have the export email addresses mod as well as the newsletter subscriber mod. Whenever an email bounces back, I delete it from the subscriber mod however I've noticed that when I export the email from the export email addresses mod, it still carries the email address I deleted.

It seems the export email is using a different table? How can I change the code around so that it would export from the correct table (where I have made changes on?) Thanks!
