We were not able to process your order. (7)

Hi, I'm getting the following error:

We were not able to process your order. Please select an alternate payment method, or contact the store owner for assistance. (7 )

It happens after I enter my bank card details (Visa). The issue fields are greyed out (cant enter any data) - my card has a valid from date. I've tried this with 2 different cards.

Also, When I select to pay by paypal option (not by card), it takes me back to step 1/3 - no errors display.

Admin side: I've entered all the information correct.

Any reason for thsi?

Re: We were not able to process your order. (7)

It should have emailed more details to you as well.

Try this:

  • recreate the error message so that it's showing on your screen
  • right-click on the (7) and choose "View Source" or "View Page Source"
  • in the screen that opens, search for the phrase "owner for assistance"
  • now look at the hidden information next to the (7) ... it likely looks like this: (7 <!-- more information here -->)

What does it say?

Re: We were not able to process your order. (7)

Hey,

Thanks for your quick response.

I've checked and it says "<!-- Field format error: 10744-This transaction cannot be processed. Please enter a valid country code in the billing address. -->)".

I entered the country and the problem still occurs. Although, I dont think it saves it since it doesnt display the country when it displays the billing address. The country is a drop-down menu + theres only one country.

Should it still work even if its a drop down menu?

I'm going to remove the Postcode Lookup Add-on just to see if that effects anything.

Thanks again! :bigups:

Edit:

as for the paypal option, it still takes me from step 3/3 to 1/3. no errors displaying.

What have you done with the countries data since installing Zen Cart? Did you delete them all or something?

Hi,

Yes I have and then manually added the UK; this is the only country I have now in my database, alongside with alot of zones (zones are working perfectly).

I've just the postcode lookup + fast and easy checkout. Replaced files with original files. Before I did this, I couldnt create a new account, change address with an existing account, add a new address in the address book and couldnt change billing/shipping country. But thats all working now after the file replacements with originals.

Although, I'm still getting the same error when trying to pay via card. Could it have to do something with the country id/database?

Thanks.

Re: We were not able to process your order. (7)

I imagine you've entered the wrong details for the country when you put it back in.

I suggest comparing all the fields you entered against a fresh clean install.
