Can't visit my site after domain change

Hi all, I really need help. I've searched the forum and found some similar threads, but I know so little about php that I still don't know what to do. When I typed in the new domain, I just saw nothing. How can I visit my store? Change the configure.php file? What parts of the file should be changed? And any other files should also be changed?

Re: Can't visit my site after domain change

What's the domain?

If the files are not moving to another folder or another server or another hosting account, then all you need to do is edit your two configure.php files and change the URL's

Re: Can't visit my site after domain change

The same folder, same server. My new domain is reddoublehappiness.com and the following is what I have edited:

For include/configure:
// HTTP_SERVER is your Main webserver: eg-http://www.reddoublehappiness.com
// HTTPS_SERVER is your Secure webserver: eg-https://www.reddoublehappiness.com
define('HTTP_SERVER', 'http://www.reddoublehappiness.com');
define('HTTPS_SERVER', 'https://www.reddoublehappiness.com');

For admin/include/configure:
define('HTTP_SERVER', 'http://www.reddoublehappiness.com');
define('HTTPS_SERVER', 'https://www.reddoublehappiness.com');
define('HTTP_CATALOG_SERVER', 'http://www.reddoublehappiness.com');
define('HTTPS_CATALOG_SERVER', 'https://www.reddoublehappiness.com');

Is it correct? Any more changes needed?

Re: Can't visit my site after domain change

Looks like the domain just needs to propogate. How long ago did you buy it? It takes up to 24 hours to propogate though usually a lot less

Re: Can't visit my site after domain change

I bought the domain name about 3days ago, but I changed the old domain name into new one just today. Do you mean I should just wait?

Re: Can't visit my site after domain change

Basically what that page means is that it is a site that is registered at godaddy but does not yet have the DNS pointed to hosting, so yes, just wait.

Re: Can't visit my site after domain change

You might want to check with GoDaddy that the DNS is correct though if it's still not working tomorrow

Re: Can't visit my site after domain change

Looking on here http://whois.domaintools.com/reddoublehappiness.com , I'm not sure those are the correct DNS servers. I'd put a ticket into GoDaddy now and ask them, from memory I've got a feeling that it should be NS57.DOMAINCONTROL.COM and NS58.DOMAINCONTROL.COM

Have you contacted GoDaddy?
