How to deal with similar attributes for diff't products?
Hello All,
I am using Zen Cart 1.3.8a.
If I have 2 products, which are basically the same, except for flavor:
product A comes in Vanilla, chocolate, Strawberry, and Rasberry
product B comes in Vanilla, chocolate, Strawberry, lemon, and Blueberry
this is just an example, product A really has 17 flavors, and product B as 11 - and there's about 150 products with a flavor attribute.
What is the best way to set up attributes for them? In the Option Name (Admin -> Catalog -> Option Name Manager) I would like to set up a FLAVOR name, and then in option Value (Admin -> Catalog -> Option Value Manager) list every UNIQUE flavor I have, then (here's where I need help) somehow list only product A's flavors in its dropdown box, and only product B's flavors in its dropdown box. Is this possible?
It seems very redundant to have to make a separate Option Name for each set of flavors when there's so much overlap. I am new to ZenCart, so I may be misunderstanding how attributes work, and consequently making a mountain out of a molehill. If so, do enlighten me.
