Customize featured products listing on main page

Hey,

Skip to "my problem" below if you are short on time ;)

I am relatively new to ZenCart, however I have been learning quite a bit, and have extensively scoured the forums and wiki which has been so great at answering every question I have had up until now. I am working on a zencart store, here is what I have done thus far. --- And this is what I am working toward making it look like. (This is a 500KB PNG image of my layout, apologies for the size)

All things considered, I'm pretty proud of myself for being able to tackle every issue I've had, and this forum and its members have been instrumental at helping me get there, so thank you! (Aside from some alignment issues which I will take care of, and the footer which should be no problem.)

My problem:

I am completely stumped as to how to make the featured/new products look the way they do in my image, including the rounded corners behind the "Featured Products" heading. I've seen it done elsewhere, so I know it's possible. Which template file displays this listing?

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I would think you would have to do the same thing you did for the sidebox headers. Rather than a thin slice that's repeated, create the image (with rounded corners) the width of the center column and specify it in the stylesheet.

BTW, in your Cart and New Product sideboxes, the text extends below the header image on hover.

The text doesn't extend below the header image for me. What browser are you using? I've tried IE 6/7/8 and Firefox. Please don't tell me you're using Chrome!

Also, any idea on how to customize the grid of featured products? I know I only have one product up there, but it only shows the name and photo. If you know the php file that controls this, then I'd be able to figure it out.

It's hard to see because it's yellow.

I don't know what you're asking about the Featured Products.

Hmm that doesn't look right. Your font face and size are different. I'll have to set up some backups. I defaulted the font to Calibri (which is Microsoft's new "Arial"), and it looks like your browser is using the fallback (Verdana).

Must be a Windows 7 thing. I'm still using XP, so I don't have Calibri installed.

I thought it was included in an automatic update, but I might be wrong. Regardless, I shouldn't be defaulting to it.
