TWO for price/qty attributes

OK, I've gone through these threads, don't seem to find exactly what I am looking for. Here's the scenario...

One product - two sizes (ex. small or large) Price for ONE large is 5.50 Price for ONE small is 1.75. But they get a discount if they order TWO of the SAME size. i.e. 1 large is 5.50, but buying 2 is 9.95. Similar situation to the small. 1 small is 1.75, but buying 2 is 3.00. How would I do the attributes? Please help! (and please trully DUMB DOWN the answer.. total DUH here... :shocking: )

I was also thinking the easier way might be for this would be something like like buy one at 1.75, buy 2 or more for 1.50 each. But how would I make that work if there are two sizes per listing? The larger one would not go for the smaller discounts... :no:

OK, I'm gonna have to try to find/figure that part out.
Now... to throw a monkey wrench into this whole thing, and something that I didn't think of until recently...

Ok, I offer 6 different natural soaps. Now... if they buy only one (no matter what scent) its the full price... BUT, if they order 3 (or more) of the same SIZE, of ANY of the scents (same or combo), they would get the lower price. How do I get that working? I want them to be able to get the lower price if they buy 3+ of any scent, same size.

I think.. no, I KNOW.. this over my head... I really, really hope there is a simple way to do this. I am DUH queen :shocking: with not understanding computer talk.

OK, OK... I just found out in a test, that even though the discount DOES NOT **show **in the chart for the larger size, it is, however being applied. How do I get it to show the price discount for the larger size as well as the guest/travel size?

What settings are you using on the Attributes for this?

As for the attribute settings... Not quite sure what you mean. The first set of attributes I added was size choice, which on the larger size adds $3.00.
Then I tried the discount pricing. I tried it by price off, percentage, etc.. When I added the second discount it gave me 3 boxes, the first two had correct pricing/discount showing, the third did not. So I deleted the second one.
This is using price off..

And this is how I set it up in the attributes:

The $1.95 showing under the calcuated price is the price of the guest/travel size bar, and I don't know how that got there. The last one of $1.50 is the price with the discount.

I also need to know if these price discounts would carry over to the other scents/fragrances (see post above). i.e. I purchase 3 personal size bars; 1 almond-scentsations, 1 Morning Blend & 1 Sensual Man. I need the discount to be applied, as they are buying 3 large bars and should get the discount. How do I apply this?
