Can ZenCart email when new customers/orders are made?

Not sure if I am posting in the right area, but I can't find anything about this...
I would like to be notified via email when a new customer is created and when an order is placed. Can Zen Cart do this or is there an add-on somewhere that can be installed?
My brain huts from searching and getting no results...TIA!!!
I am sure I am just not searching the forums correctly. BTW, I am using ver 1.3.8

That's always been a built-in feature.
You can enable/disable the option and the destination email addresses in your admin area where you control all the site's email operations: Admin->Configuration->Email Options
