the changes I make in Listing Index are not being implemented

Hi guys, came to me a problem ....
The changes I make in Listing Index are not being implemented. Any change I make listing in the index does not change anything on the site.
May be some problem with permissions on files? I do not know what's wrong. :wacko:

Changes made in configuration -> Index Listing not change the settings on the site.
I Try disable the "Show new products on main page = 0" (off) but nothing changes on the site.

Are you using a custom template? If so, what happens when you switch back temporarily to the Classic template?

Yes I’m using a custom template, but the template i use already function correctly. I remember that i change some values to off and index order in previous test made in first beginning (I´m learning ZENCART :) ) and everything work perfectly. Probably i change something :(.

Can i change now my template to classic without loss my data ??

How about your setting in Admin - Configuration - Index Listing - Show New Products on Main Page - Category With Subcategories ?

You can switch back and forth between templates without harm but you'll need to re-do your sidebox layout settings each time.

Show New Products on Main Page 0
Show Featured Products on Main Page 1
Show Special Products on Main Page 3
Show Upcoming Products on Main Page 4
Show New Products on Main Page - Category with SubCategories 1

i switch the Show New Products on Main Page - Category with SubCategories to off (zero) and the **New Products on Main Page ** no longer appears :).

I have the same problem. Whatever change I make on the index listing, the New Products for [insert month] shows up on the empty shopping cart page, (which I do not want).

My zen cart version is v1.3.9d.
I have installed the swedish language pack 1.3.8-2 (the newest version available)
I don´t use custom templates (yet)
No addons installed.

My settings on the index listings are:
Show New Products on Main Page 0
Show New Products on Main Page - Category with SubCategories 0
Show New Products on Main Page - Errors and Missing Products Page 0
Show New Products - below Product Listing 0

The product listing currently on your main page is Featured Products, not New Products.

I know it´s the featured products. It should be there. The new products should not. On the main page everything is OK (but everything is not final yet.)

The problem occurs on the empty shopping cart page. It shows both featured products and new products. I want to get rid of the new products.

For some reason, the switches that control what displays in the empty shopping cart page are in Admin - Configuration - Stock.
