Help with Modern Zen Template

I have downloaded the "Modern Zen Template" and uploaded it to my server. The directions say it overides files but that's it - simple as that.

However, it didn't work. And also after I erased the new template and uploaded the default template again, my ome page index is missing a bunch of stuff!

Does anyone know what to do or what went wrong?

You should not have deleted the default template
You can have many template files loaded and select the active one in your admin

Do you mean "template_default"???

I'll be more specific and descriptive this time.

There is a template called "Modern Zen Template" in the template packages that you can download from the Free Software Add Ons.

I downloaded the zip file of the template and the installation instructions say:
"Upload files and folders and corresponding locations
Since this template makes use of Single Listing Module, it overwrites 4 files in includes/modules/pages"

They also included an SQL patch to use via the administrator section.

one folder of the template is called INCLUDES and contains all of the folders that exist in the regular zen cart template. The other one is called MIN and has subfolders called Builder, Cache and Lib.

So here's what I did:
I uploaded the Includes folder as the instructions say and uploaded the SQL patch through my admin control. The thing I wasn't sure about was the MIN folder. I uploaded it ###### well under my webroot folder.

In conclusion, it didn't work. The template did not appear. Instead the regular zen cart template appeared with my main image missing and many stuff missing.

Any ideas?

After you uploaded did you go to Admin panel and navigate to tools -> template selection and select it?
Then reset the layout boxes?

You did not install it correctly then

With FTP look in
/includes/templates/
You should see folders for:
classic
modernzen
template_default

Triple check that other folders/files are in the correct places
