Lots of errors showing up on my site... can anyone help?

So I went to check on my storefront today and was crushed to see a ton of errors greet me. What's worse, is that the file that seems to be the source of these errors shows a last modified date of November 2008!

The last thing I did between checkups of the store front was to reset the Admin activity log. I did make a backup of the DB before I did that though so I can go back to that state as a last resort.

Anyone have any ideas on what I could look for?

:(

If this is the site in your signature, it looks fine to me.

Re: Lots of errors showing up on my site... can anyone help?

Hi Steve - thanks for checking so quickly. Yeah I just checked too and all is well now. Weird.

I would feel better if I knew why it happened in the first place and I needed to make a fix instead of the problem just going away. What's worse, is that it was like this for over 30 minutes, multiple browsers, multiple machines, on different networks altogether.

Super weird.

Anywho, the gist was that the errors were related to constants from the public_html/includes/languages/english.php file. But when I checked that, it was last modified 18 months ago.

I'll keep an eye out for it again and make sure I keep really good backups!!!!

And thanks again for your uber quick reply. You've helped me in the past and I haven't forgotten!

Re: Lots of errors showing up on my site... can anyone help?

I did stumble across something weird. Within public/includes there is a directory called "local-"

Within that directory is a file configure.php. The contents of this file are as follows:

<?php define('STRICT_ERROR_REPORTING', true); ?>

I don't remember ever seeing that before and it had a date of this morning...

That probably came from the suggestions posted here for troubleshooting error problems: https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/index.php?article=82
You can delete the "local" folder and its contents if you're no longer needing/using it.
