Manul PHP 5.3 Patch for 1.3.8a?

No, it's ok it is working, it just looks like it isn't. It's probably been doing this for ages, but I've not noticed until now:

• add something to cart
• checkout
• choose shiping method from the list
• select paypal and confirm
• log into Paypal

Then, look at the order it only shows the item cost, no shipping. Then, hit Pay Now and it charges the item cost plus the shipping. It's just odd that the PayPal page doesn't show the total cost including shipping.

Please I need a help for the configuration of the patch 5.3.x for zencart 1.3.8_a;
I installed a multisite module to my zencart and very other addons;
that worked nice until yesterday, so my host upgraded the php version to 5.3. and my websites don't work;
I installed the patch for 5.3.x but only the admin area appear, and that don't work with the client area, (includes)
I think that should be something at application_top.php file in include folder to change;
I used winmerge for changes I made to original application_top in include folder, and added to the application_top file in the patch,
( this added : define('WARN_CONFIG_WRITEABLE', 'false'); )
but that don't work also !

1.3.8 is not longer supported. It's several years old and has known vulnerabilities. You need to upgrade to 1.3.9, which has no problems with PHP 5.3.

Seeing as PHP5.3 came out in June 2009, and Zencart 1.39 didnt appear till about April 2010, how did the techies on here fix peoples broken sites in that 10 month period?

There was a temporary patch. However the neither the patch nor 1.3.8 are supported any longer. And the patch provides no protection against the vulnerabilities fixed by 1.3.9.

Boby also needs to take immediate steps to protect his site, since he's unintentionally told the world where to find a hackable site.
