Don't let the name fool you, this is perhaps the most robust version of autoFacebook yet. Just see the new features below. autoFacebook Lite is a facebook application you simply install to your facebook store page, edit one line of code, and your off and running.

autoFacebook lite was started for people who had problems installing my "heavier" autoFacebook 2.0, but because it's a hosted app, it offers more advantages. Like easier install, few errors, quicker fixes, and automatic updates.

What's New:

• Added super simple installation!!!

• Added multipage support!!!

• Added full currency support for Dollar, Pound, and Euro as well as the ability to not user a money sign!!!

• Fixed problem with product descriptions not being added to page

• Added Zen Cart integrated error and status alerts.

• Added more error checking.

• Removed need for JSON support.

Installation:

2. Go to http://apps.facebook.com/storeupdater, to install the autoFacebook Lite app.

3. Fill in your infomation, and select your page to see a preview of how the listing will look on your page.

4. After clicking submit, you will your page's page Id.

5. Copy and paste that number into line 91 of the included update_product.php, save, and upload the file to your server's admin/includes/modules folder

I am at http://apps.facebook.com/storeupdater but not able to select page on "Please select the page you want to add to Zen-Cart:" there is no page for me to select, please help. BTW, I wasn't able to get the Auto Facebook 2 to work, so do I have to remove those Auto Facebook 2 files that I have uploaded to my store ? :(

Did you ever find a solution to this problem? I just installed the module a few days ago and shortly after added 6 new products and everything worked perfectly. However NOW when I add new products I am getting the issue you mentioned and the products are NOT appearing in my facebook page...any clues? Thanks in advance

additional information about my post earlier, I was using Easy Populate to add products without any error. I have tested again to adding product manually and there is an error: "Facebook Error: Error validating application".

i just added this mod to my zencart shop. How do i get it to update the older data that was already in the shop

Using autofacebook 2 and works well just need to know what code you fixed to make the description work. We have other mods installed as well including custom modules, wondering what part of the file did you fix for the description in the autolight version that can be brought over to this older version.

Any advice is appreciated.

The username can be whatever you want. It just helps me troubleshoot and might have future use.

Yes I did download the lite mod.

However, when I tried to set it up on a different facebook page it worked, but why isn't working on the intended page? could be the page ID is not correct or something? I double checked the update_facebook.php line 91, and it is exactly the id the app gave me.

Hmmm, Was the page created before or after you added the facebook app?

Way before, It worked before with autofacebook 1, I didn't succeed in using autofacebook 2, but I don't see why it shouldn't work with Lite? do you have any ideas?

Hi jamielife, is there a way to post to multiple facebook account or pages ? I try adding another page id to update_product.php but it don't work.

Does it make a difference if my page had a customized profile URL?
And does it matter if the default landing page is not set to wall?

I got to the facebook login page ok, logged in, clicked the "Allow" button, then received this error. I'm on zen-cart v1.3.9f, fresh install of AutoFacebook 2.0, PHP 5.2 build 3790, with:

• CURL (libcurl/7.14.0 OpenSSL/0.9.8a zlib/1.2.3 )
• gd2 (bundled (2.0.28 compatible) )
• JSON 1.2.1
• MySQL 5.0.22

My platform is Windows Server 2003, IIS6.

I have a new installatio nof zencart ver 1.3.9f under linux environment as well and all the process of installation is success until try to get the page ID. The error similar to what you quote:

Autofacebook Lite fails because something is screwed with the configuration page. You're asked to enter a username ( is this the facebook username or a username on the Zencart? ). This feild is initially coming up as profile.php, which I suspect is actually supposed to be the third item in the list down?

Thanks securit, thought I had mentioned that somewhere but I guess it was on an earlier version. oops, I'll add it to my blog. as well as the sign up page.

Begining few days ago, AutoFacebook is not working. After I click the "insert" button, an error showed up: Facebook Error: Error validating access token.

While at the same time, autoTwitter is still working.
