UPS Rate Higher in Zen Cart?

I am using zen 1.3.8a and the USPS rate is 19 cents off from my drop shipper supplier and I can live with that, however, the UPS shipping rate is higher on my store than it is when I checked shipping from my suppliers cart. its about 25.29 difference, meaning my store is charging 25.29 more and I think that will hurt my business.

I am checking the same shipping destination in both my zen cart and from my supplier retail rate by adding the same item to their cart and estimating shipping, I changed the tare weight to 0:0 in both large and small and that got my USPS close enough but UPS if off too much, any way to fix this? I started to upgrade to 1.3.9 but didn't know if I could keep my same template which is clean_business that I didn't see in the upgrade version.

Re: UPS Rate Higher in Zen Cart?

What are the Ship From and Ship To address that you are testing and the weight of the order?

What settings do you have in your UPS shipping module in the Modules ... Shipping ... if you click on UPS and copy the right panel that is displayed?

I have max weight set to 75lbs. I did just buy the E-start your web with Zen cart so maybe I will find some good answers in there in the future, But you guys do a jam up job with it. But 75 pounds is max weight.

Re: UPS Rate Higher in Zen Cart?

Your drop shipper could get better rates than you or have multiple warehouses that he ships from etc.

These are the rates from Zen Cart for the UPS module:

United Parcel Service (1 x 70.00lbs) (Next Day Air Early AM) $406.49
United Parcel Service (1 x 70.00lbs) (Next Day Air) $373.32
United Parcel Service (1 x 70.00lbs) (2nd Day Air) $301.37
United Parcel Service (1 x 70.00lbs) (3 Day Select) $199.29
United Parcel Service (1 x 70.00lbs) (Ground) $76.88

These are the rates same rates that I get from UPS ...
