How to set up quantity for attributes per product?

I've searched the forum and the FAQ and could not find anything to explain what I'm trying to do...

I'm running 1.3.8a in a new install and I have hopefully a quick question about setting up attributes. I will be offering various types of shoes and I want to offer specific sizes that I may have in stock at the time per shoe. I've gone into the attributes controller and modified the Size attribute and set up the option values to have sizes ranging from 5 to 10 (including the half sizes). Now let's say I have 5 pairs of one particular shoe, and out of the 5 i have in sizes 5, 6, 6.5, 8, 8.5.

When I set up my product, I see that the option values for sizes are available, but I only want the options to appear for the sizes I have in stock for that particular item. Is there an easy way to do this?

Hi,

we sell bikes and each bike can have several different sizes - so not too dis-similar. you need to have the "products with attributes stock" module installed (my web guy does this for me but this is what you need) you can then go into this module and add the quantities of stock per size so that it only displays the sizes with available stock.

Thanks for the reply. I've installed this and I believe it's working but not sure. So to add quantity to a size of a shoe I have to go into the attributes controller?

Or is it an add-on?
