Customers Auto-subscribe to newsletter

Hi there.

Is there a way when a user joins they automatically get added to the newsletter mailing list. (without the option upon registration)?

If there is no such feature I am happy to pay a developer to do this for me.

You can set it to 'accepted' in Admin - Configuration - Customer Details then hide it using the stylesheet or by editing the template file, but, as the text in the admin option states, this may be illegal, depending on where your customer is, and IMO is a poor practice. Better to let your customers decide if they want your newsletter.

This isn't for me, its for a client anyway.
