My store stopped working after 3 months

I am using Zen Cart 1.3.8a and have had a site up and running for the last 3 months with no issues then suddenly the site is now saying the setup has not been completed and cannot get the site or admin.

I have checked the 2 configure.php files and all seems ok, the database on the hosting looks intact.

Can anyone help?

Zen Carts simply don't stop working. Something has to change to cause this to happen.

If you've not done anything to the site, then check with your host as to whether they've made any changes to your account.

Might they have quietly moved it or the database to a new server, for example?

Done properly this doesn't usually make any difference, but it can result in changes to path or database names, or occasionally database passwords.

I have the same problem as of this weekend. The techies at the host are not being helpful, as it started on the weekend AND is a holiday today. They did admit to moving some things around. I asked for them to move them back, but oh no! Have to wait until tomorrow when the real techies are back. Geesh.

What version of Zen Cart are you using?

I believe I am on 1.3.9g; can't get to admin area to see for sure. It is at least 1.3.9f, anyway.

Looks OK to me.
