How do I move the welcome message into my header?

Hi
I am completely new to this - I want to move the welcome message from the main content area of my index page to the top right hand corner of my header but cannot find where the code is for this.

Are there any guidelines generally on where to find the relevant code to be able to move elements of the site to different areas? (I am also considering moving the shopping cart into the header area)

thanks.

Ja,
Click on the link on the top of this page called Tutorials/FAQ

1. in the search box
2. remove Welcome

Thanks Haredo, but this is not what I want to do - I don't want to remove the welcome message, I want to move it into the header

Ja,
Try this:

https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/index.php?article=128
Then you will place this code here:
includes/ templates/ your_template/ template > common > tpl_header.php
