Totally starting over on website. How do I keep customer info?

I got hacked and had other problems and decided to completely redo my website from scratch. One thing that I would like to keep is the customer information and their order history. Would that have been saved somewhere when I did a backup earlier this month? Is it a file I can just upload again?

This approach you described will be fraught with errors as your new cart will nnot have the same product ID's etc

I would try inserting your full backup DB from your old shop using new files - - upgrade the DB if required

Backup first!!!!
