Need help with writing UPC mod update for Easy Populate 1.2.5.7b

Okay, as I posted yesterday, I've figured out how to add the UPC field to Easy Populate 1.2.5.7b. The field is there, and I can enter the information. Now I need to know WHICH FILES I need to update for the following to be true:

UPC displayed in Admin>new/update product, both enter and preview.

UPC displayed in SHOP product listing detail view.

UPC searchable to users.

UPC searchable to outside engines: google, yahoo, etc.

I'm more than willing to do the mods and post the new update for others, but I'm trying to narrow down which files actually need changed. There are SOOO many places where the "Product_Model" field shows up in the developers toolkit, and I'm sure not all of those places need UPC fields added.

Looking at the UPC/ISPN mod or the MSRP mod in the downloads section would help!
