override template half gone

I'm working on an upgrade with zc 1.3.9b on my local host.

I have a clean install, and have added my custom template override files/folders and db.

On default classic template - all is well as it should be, with only my customizations missing, but everything working.

On my Custom Template - I get the header, seach bar, category tabs, my custom header photo and tag lines....and the rest of the page is blank! (just my custom set background colour)

No side or center columns, no footer. All the links in the header work - as in I can see that the pages are being called up and meta tags showing in browser -- just not visible.

Does this jump out at anyone as a big obvious that I'm staring at and don't see?

You probably have some PHP fatal error at the end of tpl_header.php or in tpl_main_page.php after the header output. Look at view source to see exactly where the output cuts off. If anything that the header is supposed to have is missing, the error is probably in tpl_header.php.

Ah, bless you. I was trying to look where I was going instead of where I was coming from! I use css horizontal menu in my custom template. There were two files from that mod that do not go in the override folders.

So that brought correcting that boo boo has restored my main page and side columns.

Footer is still missing in action - on custom template only. Show source ends with "end of display grid of available sub-categories"

My custom tpl_footer is present in the overrides but I'll check to see if there are any other mod files that weren't in overrides that has done this too.
