Downloadable items are playing instead of downloading!

What did you end up doing with the .htaccess change I gave you?

Re: Downloadable items are playing instead of downloading!

dude you are the god on ZenCart! it worked! it now brings up a 'save as' box to save it on your PC. cheers mate!

p.s. the file i dropped into ftp has now disappeared again.. thats normal right?

pp.s..
on a related matter.. when i go into the 'order' section to see the 'test purchase' it remains at status 'processing' does ZenCart have the ability to automatically change that status to 'complete' once the customer has downloaded the product? (see image) or is that something the store owner has to do manually? cos how do i know that they've downloaded the product?

because..

i've set all the mp3's at 1000 stock available and they are staying at 1000 and not dropping is there a setting? we managed to make 1 of them go down to 999 a few weeks ago but who knows how that happened lol

thank you bro

You could try to find a setting in it to display hidden files if you wish.

tommydamani:

does ZenCart have the ability to automatically change that status to 'complete' once the customer has downloaded the product? No. You must do it manually.
However, if ALL your products are downloads, you could change your payment module to set completed orders to "Shipped" instead of "Processing".
(And then if the word "Shipped" bothers you, you could rename it under Admin->Localizations->Orders Status)

tommydamani:

we managed to make 1 of them go down to 999 a few weeks ago but who knows how that happenedYou probably had it set up without the download file connected to it, so it was treated as a physical product, which then reduced stock upon purchase.
