Easy Populate

I have installed Easy Populate and copied admin to admin. I went to the adminstrator and then tools but do not see Easy Populate. Does any one know what I have done wrong here?

Thank you

Re: Easy Populate

In the download there is an admin folder, this I uploaded to my admin folder. I also went to the wiki, it talks about renaming the folder, but I do not know why and/or if I should.

I do not see easy populate in the configuration or in tools and I used java to upload it, then made sure the files existed.

Thank you

Re: Easy Populate

If you uploaded the admin folder to the admin folder online, that would have created an admin folder within the admin folder.

The admin folder from your pc should be uploaded to your store root.

Re: Easy Populate

It does not do that using the java upload it appends or overwrites if the folder is there. I found a better copy of it on the wiki and it has better instructions. There is an admin folder and a temp folder with nothing in it. It states to set the files to 777.

I will try this and let you know how it goes.

Thank you

Re: Easy Populate

I donwloaded the one in the wiki and set the permission to the temp folder to 777, then went to myadmin/easypopulate.php?langer=install

and it is now working.

Thank you
