New Product Box - how to exclude products?

Hi,

I am new to ZenCart and am wondering how I can control what products display in the New Product Box. At the moment, a number of my out of stock items are appearing and I'd like to exclude them from appearing.

You will need to set just what determines a ‘New’ product in Zen Cart.

In a default installation, all products are included in the New Products box. To update this setting:

Admin > Configuration > Maximum Values > New Product Listing – Limited to …

and select from one of the available options:

0= All Products
1= Current Month
7= 7 Days
14= 14 Days
30= 30 Days
60= 60 Days
90= 90 Days
120= 120 Days

The heading of the New Products Center Box will always include the current Month (for example ‘New Products for October’) regardless of the setting above. Within a category, the New Products Center Box heading will include the Category Name.
