No country choice in zone definitions

All right. So i have done my research - searching this forum and using google aswell :smile:
I'm pulling my hair out on this one. I can't seem to understand where the problem is.

I have set up different zone names in "locations/taxes" -> "Zones definitions" and want to insert a new sub zone, but the "country" field is blank - which means it goes for all countries. Now that's just not right. My head hurts. :lamo:
However, all the countries are available in "locations/taxes" -> "Countries"

Im probably doing something wrong but I hope someone is able to help me out here. Perhaps i've messed too much with my database?

I have the same problem. Tried fixing it by re-creating countries, zones, geo_zones, and zones_to_geo_zones, sql tables from new installation and existing working shop, but still doesn't work.

I have exactly the same problem. Country field is blank. Big problem when needing to charge tax for only one country/state. Any help with this problem would be MUCH appreciated, thanks.

I was not able to solve this problem. And it's still a problem.
