Please help me: where are my button images?

I searched and studied the forum for two nights but still can't find an answer. Therefore I come here ask for your help.

The buttom images of our online shop have been missing since the first time it was published late last year. Only text is shown on buttons, but not even those default button images (as shown in the attached screen shot). I checked the directory of those images, and found they are still there, located in
includes/templates/default_template/buttons/english/
Then I tried to upload some buttons available from "Free software addons" of this website, but still no luck.

There are buttons, but not those green 3D images I uploaded.

The problem was fixed:
You have the choice to use image buttons or CSS-styled buttons in Zen Cart™, this Admin option can be configured in Configuration > Layout Settings > CSS Buttons. The default setting is set to No, this causes some buttons and links to use images in the catalog, if you would rather use CSS-styled buttons and links change the value to Yes.
