I want to add pdf file with product

I am selling incense online, right now I have added seperate product for each flavor which I am selling, instead of that i want to put one listing and add a pdf file in that listing which people can download and check what I have and call for order. Is it possible?

Yes... you can just add a <a href> hyperlink to your pdf file, in the body text of the product description. I trust you know how to write a hyperlink in html?

EG: Please download our PDF showing all our product options <a target="_blank" href="pdf_docs/product-flavours.pdf">HERE</a>

In the above... the pdf document is called** product-flavours.pdf**

... and it is in a directory called pdf_docs in the root folder of your zencart installation. (Same level as the main images folder)

This hyperlink will open the pdf in a new browser window.

BTW... do people still buy insense? I though it was a '60's thing?

on another note, i'm interested in adding a pdf to products that doesn't require the admin to use ftp, rather they add the manual on the products page (almost like selecting an attribute).

i've seen something regarding downloadable items within the attribute controller, but haven't yet looked into this further.

is this how i would pursue it?

ps: i would settle for a pdf that is categorised and listed seperately as its own product of necessary. no charge will be required for these, although my client is asking for restrictions on the download (ie customer groups) which i haven't even thought about yet.

I am trying to link to a pdf document I have in manufacturers which is in my images folder and I am getting a permissions denied message? Would you help me get this to work? This is how my link looks: <a target="_blank" href="images/manufacturers/Why_THU.pdf">Click Here to learn more!</a>
