Problem with size of boxes and font within boxes on index page

Hello, I am hoping that someone can help me. Somehow, my main category boxes and font within those boxes became slightly smaller on the index page than on the other pages. It makes the index page slightly harder to navigate and see. I would like to change the box size and font size back to the same size as the other pages. The problem is that I don't know how to do this. I am using version 1.3.8a with zen_apple templates added...and my website is: ecigscience.com As I look in the css files, I don't know what to look for. As far as I can tell, the css files are identical with the original download.

I have tried changing several other files back to the original files (that I have in back-up), and nothing helps the error. Have tried the header.php file, images file and style sheet_header_menu.css. I don't understand how this font change could effect only the index page (because, I know it uses css files).

I don't have a back up of the original index page with zen apple included; because I downloaded zen-apple template, after my back-up I made of the original zen cart :( Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Re: Problem with size of boxes and font within boxes on index page

I can't tell you the exact problem (though I think it has to do with the <small> tags), but you should never use Microsoft Word to cut and paste into Zencart. Word adds a lot of extraneous styling that confuses the regular process.

If you re-do your define main page using manual coding, or at least a real WYSIWYG HTML editor, your problem will go away.

While I'm here - when I click from your jump page, your main page is secured (https:). There's no need for that, and it's causing the secure/non-secure error box in IE.

Re: Problem with size of boxes and font within boxes on index page

Thank you Stevesh for taking the time to look at my site and for your excellent advice. Today, I edited what I wanted for my front page in Kompozer and then pasted the source code into admin>"Define Pages Editor" by setting the "text editor" to "Plain text," and selecting "define_main_page.php." Once I got that process into my head it was a complete breeze to fix the problem of the distorted header. There was something in my previous code on that page that made my drop-down boxes (above) shorten and the font decrease in size. I first deleted everything in the text editor and clicked "save." All my problems disappeared when I did that. The boxes went back to their original dimensions and the font went back to its original size. Then I built from a clean slate what I wanted on the front page of my store. Hmmmm...what seemed like a very complicated problem actually had a very simple solution that I could accomplish from admin. Thank you. Thank you also to my sister who helped straighten me out this morning.:hug:
