It is sad because it doesn't work and I cannot get it to work. It is sad that I do not have more skill at this kind of stuff and sad that I am not knowledgeable enough to write my own mod. It is sad I do not have the money to pay a professional and sad that i lose customers since the mod does not work or maybe I do not work but I wont know cause I cant get any help. So yes, while I understand your side of this......**i wish someone would understand our side, the ones who are not smart enough to know what they are doing and have to count on help from those who do.**I understand your side, but IF you base your business on FREE software that is supported by VOLUNTEERS, then this is a risk you assume as a business person.. It may suck, but this is the reality of things..
I feel for you, but honestly if this is your BUSINESS, part of your BUSINESS planning should include planning for what do you do when your FREE volunteer contributed add-on stops being actively supported by a volunteer contributor..
I am having to construct alternate plans for clients RIGHT NOW who use add-ons that are not being actively maintained and have not been updated for Zen Cart v1.5. Some mods I've been able to update for them.. Others I have not..
So we all feel for you, but if the ONLY solution you see is for someone else to feel your pain and then VOLUNTEER to maintain a mod because shopowners don't understand how to update it or get it to work???? well... that is just not a realistic BUSINESS plan..
You won't agree with that I'm sure.. but that is the reality of using free volunteer contributed add-ons.. Like I said.. not sad at all. it's the REALITY of the situation.. Shopowners should plan accordingly..
