installed add to cart buttons - need help on adding quantity to every box

In configuration/Product Listing/Display Product Add to Cart Button (0=off; 1=on; 2=on with Qty Box per Product)

I've set my preference to 2. but when i browse my new listings featured listings and etc. the boxes still has "0" quantity...

I want to add a quantity there

here is mine with "0" quantity

here is another website with "1" quantity in boxes.

How can i put a quantity there? This is for customers to just click the button "add to cart" without puting how many are they going to buy as most only buy 1. as for other who does not know about it if they click add to cart since its "0" quantity they are taken to a page wherein it says 'your shopping cart is empty".

When you set up a product called Old Bontoc Mollusks Sieve, Lunch Basket and Container . Are these the values you set up > You cannot sell Products with 0 minimum and 0 units ...

The defaults are:
Minimum: 1
Maximum: 0 (unlimited)
Units: 1

yap that's it, it has 1 min, 0 max, 1 unit. if you click further you can see that the item has 1 quantity which you can add in your cart if your on the product page. Thanks!

do i need to edit some files or this is unusual? I expected for all the box to have quantity after choosing option 2 but still no quantity in there.:unsure:

oh wait. how about new products, featured products? how to add prefilled quantity?

Where you have multiple input boxes for the quantities on the page, if you pre-filled the input boxes you would make it that the customer had to set the values to 0 before submitting the page or they would add all Products to the cart ...

Hi! thanks for replying... if you checked new products there are add to cart button on every one of them just like if you click categories

i have already prefilled the categories with quantity so the customer just need to click the add to cart. no need to put the quantity. they could edit that if they are buying more than 1.

I want to apply that to new products, featured and specials...

ofcourse i also need to remove the button "add selected products to cart" as i've done a while ago with when i've set this "Display Multiple Products Qty Box Status and Set Button Location" to off.
