Taking over a Zen cart site....help? lol

That is the site I am taking over. We already own a site but use oscommerce and have a strong knowledge of that site. How ever this one on Zen cart is either slightly different enough that I'm lost or there are some missing php pages I have not come across.

One thing I'm trying to find and figure out is how to get ride of that little "home" section. It has baseball, football, special sales, all for categories. I can't find the section that will turn that off on the front page. I've tried all the settings and even at one point had them all at 0 and it still showed. We'd like only the "featured Products" to be on the front page. I can turn off all the rest below it just fine its just that top section I can't seem to find it to shot it off!

This site just seems so busted to me..... here's ours we have now just to give you an idea we know how to run a osc site.... playersink.com

Any help would be sooooo awesome at this point!!!

try admin -> layout settings -> Define Breadcrumb Status (set to 2 to turn it off on the home page only)

Nope....haha....this site has to be a mess....! Not to give away the company but it's run by a um......multi billion dollar organization lol that's the funny part of this. OK so I tried changing that to 2....and nothing. I did shut off all the other fun and groovy pieces so that only the "featured" is on now...plus that crap just above it.

Any other ideas cause I still have none....hmm...

open includes/templates/template_default/templates/tpl_specials_default.php

find and comment out the following line of code:

<h1 id="specialsListingHeading"><?php echo $breadcrumb->last(); ?></h1>

That was my next move...but they are making me wait to get all the ftp and site information I need....ugh....the more money a company has the less they care haha... I'll try that later today and i'll let you know what I come up with!

Hey thanks for the help.... we ended up trashing the site since it was completely hosed from people having no clue. I created a very nice html based site and everyone is in love with it lol billionaires are weird people....

??? that is not an HTML site - it is using the Other Shopping Cart ...

well not its html that links back to our store. It was completely stupid to have 2 different stores run by one company so they had me make this up and feed their traffic into our store since we are the same people :)
