Urgent,Need Help,question before upgrade to 1.3.9

Hi guys,

My website was hacked and the web hoster closed my site for one week. They asked me to upgrade it to the new version.My version is 1.3.8a which is installed via one click installation.

I am going to upgrade it to 1.3.9d and know there will be lots problem if upgarde it via fantastico. The question is can I upgrade it manually in my situation? If yes,how? and what issues I need to pay attention during upgrading.

I am really new in this area and not good at solving such problem. I appreciate your time and help.

Yes, you can and SHOULD upgrade manually. You should ALWAYS pay special attention to EVERY SINGLE STEP during upgrades. Those steps in the Tutorial are VERY IMPORTANT!!!!!
