Customer's Passwords

Is there a way to change from the Admin tool the customer's password?

If you have the customers email address which you should have, email them and tell them to try logging in to your website and click the "Forgotten Password" link to get a new Password sent to them.

Customers Passwords are stored securly and encrypted in the database so you cant tamper with them.

From my understanding, the current zen cart version does not have this feature where you can change customer's password via admin. Supposedly this will be coming in v2.0. So following blackwolf's directions would be the next logical thing to do.

or...
change the customers email address to one of your own.
send the "forgotton password" new password to yourself
Change the customers email address back to what it originally was

I may be wrong, but I highly doubt anything like this would be available since it's a security issue.

You are wrong. This can certainly be done, and as was mentioned, is a feature which is built in to 2.0.
