Count of "Processing" orders incorrect on admin home page

I just did an upgrade from 1.3.9a to 1.3.9d. Now I've got a weird issue. It's just a small bug but I would like to fix it. On the admin home page, on the bottom left where it shows the count of the orders in the store, it says Processing: 78, but when you click on it to view the Processing orders, there are actually only 77. All of the counts for the other statuses, e.g. Shipped, Pending, etc., are correct. Only the count for the Processing orders is wrong.

Any ideas why this could be and how I might fix it?

Has anyone figured out a fix for this? Mine is doing the same thing and I would like to fix it.
