Downloads Only - W/O confirming payment

I have a store with all downloadable products. I would like the download link to be available as soon as payment information is received. Instead I get no link and this:

"NOTE: Downloads are not available until payment has been confirmed"

I actually had it working at some point, but now can't figure out what is going on. In the Authorize.net AIM module I have Completed Order Status set to 3. For some reason, in the main Payment Modules screen it says order status for Authorize.net AIM is pending (and also in test-mode).

Any ideas? I have read lots of threads and haven't had any success.

Figured it out: In the authorize payment settings I had it set to "Authorize". When I changed the setting to "Authorize and Capture", download links work properly. Maybe this will solve the problem for someone else too.
