Product Order requires custom image upload

I'm trying to debug a clients site that uses a parsed product attribute, ( uses a SIZE attribute with specific text including "w/ custom pkg"), to require the customer upload an image to be used to customize the product packaging. Being new to Zen Cart, I'm trying to figure out if this custom upload image function is:

  1. Native to Zen Cart

  2. A broadly available add-on module

or

  1. One off Custom programming

Knowing the answer might help me debug the problem
