Customer email confirmation logo

Hey folks,

Looking in the 'book of wisdom', I'm seeing where to change the textual content of confirmation emails sent to customers but i'm not finding where I can change the 'default zen-cart' logo to my logo like I have on the invoices and such. Can someone point me in a direction?

Thanks,

Nelson

Re: Customer email confirmation logo

Thanks!

I figured it was something really simple, just couldn't find a reference to it.

Re: Customer email confirmation logo

OK, I took the above mentioned file and replaced it with my own logo file, made sure the files were the same dimensions in px, even made 4 occurrences of the file named header.jpg, header.gif, logo.jpg and logo.gif....(covering all of the bases) and the default logo is still being displayed in my HTML emails. Is there something that points to a particular file name? Just trying to get to a point where I can enable HTML emails as they look better.

Thanks

all the email templates are in this folder, check that you have not modified them to use other images

Shut down your e-mail program on your computer and then open it again...

(This will clear the cache).

Yeah, I looked at those and see where the file is referenced, nothing has changed, everything is default from the installation(so far as the mail folder is concerned), all I did was upload my own .jpg for the logo in the emails. Little puzzled at this point.

This actually happens with the email program(Thunderbird) closed on my computer. These are the automated messages sent by ZenCart outside of the local email program(order confirmation updates, welcome new user, etc). For whatever reason, it's not loading the custom picture into the email template.
I've even verified the attributes.

Re: Customer email confirmation logo

The default image is in the email folder, is called header.jpg and is 550px wide X 110px deep.

What do you see if you DELETE that image completely? (ie: have NO IMAGE WHATSOEVER in the email folder called header.jpg).

If you STILL see an image in your email client (thunderbird), then your client is CACHING the image.

Try hitting F5 key when in your email client.

OK, it's official, I feel really STUPID!!!!! I just went into t-bird and checked the same message that was showing the default header yesterday and today it's showing my logo.... yeah, it was cached...... It seems it was probably working correct all along, I'm just not the most savvy person with windoze and it's caching properties.

Thanks!!!!

Re: Customer email confirmation logo

If it is any comfort to you, the only reason why I was able to offer my suggestion is that I had EXACTLY the same frustration a few years ago. (I must have added and deleted that wretched header image 200 times!)

So, "officially", we are all stupid ... until we discover the answer.
