Payment processing error: (0) Invalid merchant id

I had a US customer not able to process a visa payment on the store (we are in Canada). He received the following error;

(0) Invalid merchant id (merchant_id = 0) - Your credit card could not be authorized for this reason. Please correct the information and try again or contact us for further assistance.

He was able to process a payment through Paypal however.

Any idea what our problem could be? We've never had this problem before. We did recently transfer the store to a new site, could something be lost in translation? We have had MC and Visa transactions through from Canadian customers come through in the last couple days though.

Well, judging by the error message, it would seem that it's telling you that you've set a merchant_id to 0 in whatever payment module is being used for that transaction.
So, you'll need to configure whatever payment module it's using to have a valid merchant_id.

My merchant ID is correct and inputed in the module.

I have and still am receiving credit and paypal payments. I created a $1 test product and tested a couple of my cards. All worked. I've had no complaints other than this customer, but are there others that aren't telling me?

I see where you're going, but I have nothing to work from. You've basically told us you have a problem, and nothing more. The crystal ball is blurry.
