change maintenance message?

I'm using 1.3.8 and I'm in the middle of upgrading and moving to a new host because of recent hacks. I'd like to notify my visitors about what's going on and give them my contact info so they can continue to place orders. How can I change the maintenance message to display the info?

You can edit that text in includes/languages/english/down_for_maintenance.php
