Products Price Manager Discounts Not Showing in Shopping Cart

Hi,

I have setup a product with a normal price of 5.99 and then applied a special price of 2.99 to this product using the products price manager.

It displays correctly (with the discount), but when the product is added to cart, it returns to the normal price (in this case 5.99).

  • HAVE YOU LOOKED IN THE FAQ AREA for answers to your question? (ie: a search for your error message or what you want to edit/change, etc) - yes, did not find
  • Have you searched the FORUM for your error message or for answers to the question you're asking? - Searched and did not find anyone with this problem
  • WHEN did the problem "start"? How does that compare with other events of your hosting company, changes you've made to your site files/addons, or your admin settings, etc? - It has never worked

Could you turn off your SEO/rewrites ... does it work?

What happens if you switch to the Classic Template ... does it work?

Have you applied all of the Known Bug Fixes:

NOTE: upgrading to v1.3.9d would be a better solution as it contains all of the bug fixes and security patches ...

Are you really using the Products Price Manager on this product or just a Special or Sale?

It is not working for me same problem as the first post.

When you say it is not working ... what is happening?

If you are in v1.3.9, do you see any error logs in the /cache directory?

Check that your add ons did not require overwriting files and if they did that you merged the files and did not just overwrite them ...

I has for example the product price 20SEK
if bougt 50 new price is 19SEK
if 100 it's 18SEK

from 1.3.9 it now shown the box with the discount on productpage, no problem as in 1.3.8a

I put 50 pcs in basket. but the cost still 1000SEK not 950SEK

This part has this problem for a long time so I think it's good to know exactly all files that have something to do with this function on productpage and in the cart.

(I know it was working on a clean install with 1.3.9a but to get all I need I have to use more extensions.

When you go to the Products Price Manager in your Admin and look at this Product ...

Do you see the Discount Quantity Table?

What are all of your settings?

I have exactly the same configuration on both shops. I belive I made some override before by misstake.

my demoshop working correct but I have not installed all modules yet.

one question: Is it any arrays that are locked to any positions?
In the real shop I has add some extra fields.

I'd do a compare of your files ...

If it is working on one site but not the other then it sounds like something is out of date or your data is not setup the same ...

It is hard to guess without seeing the sites ...

Thanks for the ideas. I have setup the price in the Products Price Manager, but if there is another way to do a special or sale, please tell me how?

You can use the Product Price Manager and set discounts ...

Or, you can add a Special ... this can be done from the Product Price Manager or from the Catalog ... Specials ...

Or, you can set a Sale on a whole Category where the categories_id is the master_categories_id of the Products using SaleMaker in the Catalog ... SaleMaker ...

Thank you. I'm going to try out the Salemaker as that seems to be easier to use and have all the functionality that I need rather than spending days trying to figure out which modification or file is causing the issue.
