Category images not showing

Hi,
Trying to get my category images to show, in product listing and product info.

Have set Product Listing to:
Include Product Listing Sub Categories Image true
Include Product Listing Top Categories Image true

Works perfectly on same template used on different store, so not sure where to start.
Ideas?

...so....still no luck.
However, I've created some different products using the "document" product type.
These do show a category image above the product display.
Would this help in solving anything to get my normal product category images to show?

I had to put some images in the images\categories subfolder to get mine to work consistently.
